Welcome to Priorsford Primary School

As a school, we aim for excellence in all we do. We aim to provide educational experiences and opportunities to promote attainment and achievement for every individual child at Priorsford. We want all of our pupils to achieve both in and out of school - to be all they can be - in a safe and happy learning environment.

Our pupils will be valued for who they are as individuals and will respect and work with others to become confident and responsible members of society.

This website provides information on the school year and the many events that take place involving Priorsford pupils. It also includes our monthly newsletters and all other parent letters sent out throughout the year. We hope to provide you with a flavour of the many activities that our pupils are involved in and recognise these achievements both in school and outwith school.

Priorsford School is changing, and faces really exciting and challenging times ahead. We hope that you will support these changes and that your interest in the school will grow and develop.

If you have any comments on the website or would like to visit the school, please do not hesitate to contact the school at the address above

Weekly News

Monday 30th August

Primary 1 start in school full-time this week. They are having their class pictures taken today (Monday)  by the Peeblesshire News and the Southern Reporter.

Primary 4 (Mrs Farrell and Mrs Pickburn) are starting swimming on Wednesday and Primary 4A(Mrs Sharp) are swimming on Friday.

This Friday, as part of their Water topic, Primary 4 and 4a  are going with a Countryside Ranger to look at the River Tweed. They will be considering the wildlife living in and by the river and how the river formed.

Also on Friday, as part of the Peebles Arts Festival, Primary 6 and 7  children will be taking part in a drumming workshop.

We hope our new kitchen will be completed by Friday and we are looking forward to seeing it!
